Scholarship Partners Program

CPF Announces new Scholarship Partners Program, helping students who have the greatest need and are the most determined.

The Scholarship Partners Program is designed for the UAC-CP students who demonstrate scholastic achievement and extreme need. Donors contribute to a pool of scholarship money, which is then distributed to those students who best meet the program’s criteria as determined by the College. A full scholarship covers a student's tuition, room, board and all related program expenses for one year–an actual cost of $2,000.  Also available are half scholarships, which pay for a student's tuition and board only.

In exchange, each recipient must perform 120 hours of community service per semester. In addition to teaching students the value of hard work, the services they perform vest them in the value of their own education and give them pride of ownership towards their school and each other.

We ask you to please consider becoming a Scholarship Partner through the Diane C. Watson Scholarship Fund, helping those who have the most need and the least means.

Diane Watson, CPF Board member and an individual who brought strength, broad experience and absolute dedication to our mission and organization, passed away on April 11, 2008. In a lasting tribute to the memory of Diane, the CPF board has named their new Scholarship Partners Program “The Diane C. Watson Scholarship Fund.”

In Kind Donation

A Wish List from Students and Faculty at the UAC-CP
Do you want to help the UAC-CP by collecting and donating necessary supplies that we can ship to Bolivia? We are in the process of collecting items to be shipped in a container this Spring, and would be so grateful for your help!

651-641-1588 if you are able to donate any of the items listed. Our last container was sent nearly two years ago, and the needs are great! Receiving this container is always a major highlight for everyone at the UAC-CP.

Vehicle Donation

You can donate your car, boat, truck, RV, Jet Ski or snowmobile to the Carmen Pampa Fund and receive a tax deduction. This no cost, no hassle process begins when you contact our fundraising partner, Donation Line LLC at 877-227-7487. Make sure to ask for our extension, 2145. Or you can click here, "Donate Your Car Now", and complete the Vehicle Donation Form on line. Make sure to select Carmen Pampa Fund from the dropdown list. Please have your title in hand when you donate.

Volunteer

We welcome volunteers in Minnesota and Bolivia. If you are interested in long or short-term volunteer opportunities in Bolivia — or just a visit — please review UAC-CP’s Visitor’s Manual. If you would like to volunteer at Carmen Pampa Fund in St. Paul, please contact our office for more information. We often need help with administrative tasks, mailings, events and phone calls.

Volunteering at the UAC-CP in Bolivia depends on many factors, including a candidate’s proposed time frame for the volunteer commitment, Spanish proficiency, motivation, background, and work skills. It also depends on the work needs at the College, physical space limitations, and volunteer openings. When we work together to find a match between the work we need done and the skills and commitment the candidate presents, we all benefit and grow!

Our current and former long term volunteers at the UAC-CP will tell you that the work is incredibly satisfying, and very difficult at the same time. We need volunteers who are flexible, committed to understanding a new culture, able to listen more than they speak, and willing to learn..
