UAC-CP Graduate Named CPF Acting Executive Director
Carmen Pampa Fund reached a new historical milestone with the naming of Dr. Claudia Cerruto Noya, PhD, as Acting Executive Director of Carmen Pampa Fund in August 2022. She is the first Bolivian and the first UAC-CP graduate to hold this position.
Originally from Coroico, Bolivia, Claudia was one of the College's very first graduates when she defended her thesis in the Veterinary Science Department in 2000. After leaving Carmen Pampa, she secured a scholarship to study in Japan, where she earned a diploma in molecular biology from Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine. She was later awarded a prestigious Fulbright scholarship to study in the U.S., which provided her with the opportunity to obtain her master's degree. Claudia earned her PhD in Food Science from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma, in 2011.
Prior to her current role as a Food Quality and Safety Regular in Customer Technical Services with Cargill Protein Group in Derby, Kansas, Claudia served as Director of the UAC-CP's Veterinary Science Department for two years in Carmen Pampa.
Claudia, who joined CPF's Board of Directors in 2021, is sharing her leadership skills and expertise with CPF on part-time, pro-bono basis.
