José Luis Beltran served as director general of the UAC-CP from 2019 through 2023.

In his current role, José Luis is responsible for helping with the oversight of the College’s six undergraduate areas, as well as diploma and master's degree programs, faculty development, curriculum management, budget, and international partnerships. 

A native of Oruro, Bolivia, José Luis is a long-time UAC-CP educator. He first started teaching at the College in 2002 and later led the Agronomy Department's research program for three years. He was named director of the UAC-CP's Agronomy Department in 2006.

In addition to his bachelor's degree, José Luis holds post-graduate degrees in cattle production, research, and higher education. In 2010, he obtained a Master's in Business Administration from Catholic University of Bolivia. 

He and his wife are the proud parents of two daughters.
