Adams School Cultural Night

Adams Spanish Immersion Elementary School in St. Paul, Minnesota, is a very special place–just ask the almost 20 education students from the College in Carmen Pampa who have served as interns there since 2007.
This year, two recent graduates from the UAC-CP, Maria Luz Diaz and Graciel Quino, are teaching in the school’s first and second grades.
Last week, Maria Luz and Graciel presented at a cultural night organized by Adams’ Parent Teacher Organization. Both UAC-CP graduates presented on Bolivian customs and regional clothing styles. They also served a home-made pineapple drink and Pique Macho, a traditional Bolivian dish with meat and vegetables served over french fries.
Interns from Colombia, El Salvador and Spain also had presentation about their cultures. The event was well attended by parents, teachers and students from the school.
