Print the Love in Carmen Pampa

Print the Love, a Minnesota-based NGO with the mission of providing real-time photography for people around the world, visited Carmen Pampa March 2 – 5. Ceallaigh Anderson Smart, the organization’s founder, and two participants, Erica Hyland and Madison Krings, spent several days at the UAC-CP, visiting with students and community members in the area.
Print the Love, which was founded in 2013 during a work trip in Rawanda, has traveled to various parts of the globe, but chose Bolivia as its first trip to South America. In Carmen Pampa, the team gave away photos to university students, market vendors, children and families. Each photo served as an act of kindness, and a token of remembrance for its participants.
In addition to photos, the team brought cards to give to elementary and middle school children in the community. “Hundreds of kids from Meadowbrook School in Golden Valley, Minnesota made and colored cards for the kids in Bolivia to go along with their photos.” Smart explained, “They say, ‘You are important to me!’ We gave away every last note all over the country and the Bolivian children LOVED them!”
Thank you, Print the Love, for bringing your fun and creativity to the Carmen Pampa community. To keep up with Print the Love and their globetrotting ventures, find them on Facebook, or keep up with their blog on their website.
