For their 2018 Mission and Global Awareness Trip, the Washington, DC-based Franciscan Mission Service (FMS) facilitated a visit of short-term missioners to the College in Carmen Pampa. Led by FMS staff member Meghan Meros, the 8-day trip provided opportunities for participants to experience cross-cultural exchange and participate in pastoral theological reflection informed by Catholic Social Teaching.

During their stay, the visitors immersed themselves in daily life at the College. They participated in a variety of academic, cultural, and practical hands-on activities in areas of horticulture, language learning, day care, etc.
